As small as the ant; myself.

If their words reflect me, I’ll accept all the badmouthing and may He forgive me. If their words are far from the truth, I’ll ask Him to forgive them, and forgive my hidden sins they haven’t discover.

A dearest friend once told me a story I’ve heard, about an ant who places a tiny drop of water upon Ibrahim’s skin. He was asked, “why would you do that when you know it won’t stop the flame?” firmly he answered, “it won’t stop the flame, but it will tell Him which side I take.”

These steps won’t bring me to place where they can praise me, because I don’t walk for it. But He whose knowledge covers the sky until the earth, would’ve known where my heart intends to go, and what’s the motive behind it.
